The Spring Forum provides an opportunity for nonprofit staff, board members, students, and volunteers to come together for a day of learning, refreshment and networking. Participants reflect on the work of the nonprofit sector and gain practical skills that will improve the effectiveness of nonprofits in our community. Bringing together academic researchers, consultants, industry professionals and aspiring leaders the spring forum is a unique learning opportunity. This year the spring forum begins with registration and coffee at 8:30 am. The opening session with Dr. Leonard Barry begins at 9:00, which is followed by a plenary session with the Office of the State Attorney General. Lunch is provided with a keynote presentation by Ken Gladdish the CEO of the Austin Community Foundation. Following lunch there are three concurrent workshops: internal communication, grant writing, and board governance. The day concludes with a presentation by Tom Turbiville, reflecting on the value of nonprofits and public service in the valley. There will be plenty of time for networking with colleagues.
