Ballet Conservatory of South Texas
February, 2012
The Friends of the Conservatory, a volunteer organization affiliated with the Ballet Conservatory of South Texas (BCSTX), will host a Swan Lake Ballet Tea Party on Saturday, February 25 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at TriPoint – Grantham Gathering Center. Tickets start at $35 ($20 is tax-deductible) and table sales are available for purchase.
"The Swan Lake Ballet Tea Party is perfect for children, mothers and grandmothers. There will be tea, snacks, a ballet performance from Swan Lake by the BCSTX Conservatory Company and much more," says Stefanie Alvheim, Friends of the Conservatory President for BCSTX. "We are very excited to present this fun-filled, sophisticated tea party to the pubic and aim to make it a tradition for BCSTX in the future."
The fundraising event is held in conjunction with the Ballet Conservatory of South Texas' presentation of Synergy 2012, a tribute to classical and contemporary ballet featuring an excerpt from Swan Lake. This performance occurs March 3 and 4 at the Carver community Cultural Center and presents original contemporary choreography along with a special guest appearance by Ballet San Antonio.
