Workshop: Central Texas Funders Forum—Elevating Relationships
Workshop date and times: 5/13/2011, 8:30 am–4 pm.
Join grant and other fund-raising professionals, nonprofit executives and programs people, philanthropists and other interested parties for Central Texas Funders Forum: Elevating Relationships. This daylong workshop, brought to you by the Austin chapter of the Grant Professionals Association (GPA), brings together representatives of foundations, corporations and other funding organizations to discuss philanthropy and share insights about helping agencies working to make our community a better place.
Philanthropic organizations confirmed so far: Michael & Susan Dell Foundation, KLE Foundation, Dell, Hammill Foundation, Sooch Foundation, A Glimmer of Hope, KDK-Harman Foundation, the Beaumont Foundation and St. David's Foundation, with more to confirm shortly. The day will be segmented into four moderated panel discussions, with breaks and lunch included.
Location: St. David’s Episcopal Church in downtown Austin, TX (301 E. 8th St.)
Cost (lunch included): $45 for GPA members and $65 for non-members.
Parking at the church: $10.

Panelists and moderators (distinguished experts in the fields of philanthropy and nonprofit and public sector endeavors) will discuss the current state of philanthropy in Central Texas. They will share information about how they go about their grant-making efforts, how they interact with one another and with their grantees, and the effects of the shrinking economy on their philanthropic efforts. They will also share valuable information about the impact they wish to make locally.
