With the first day of school just over a month away, it's time to start collecting those backpacks! GRACE needs new backpacks or cash to purchase the ones we need. Those wanting to purchase and donate backpacks can bring them to the main GRACE offices at 610 Shady Brook in Grapevine or to Donation Station at 112 N. Scribner. Be sure to let the attendent know that you're donating to the school supply drive. Those who would like to make a cash donation can do so at the main GRACE offices at 610 Shady Brook Drive or click here to make a donation online. If you have any questions, please contact Jan Smith at 817-305-4653. We'd like to say "thanks" to those who have already made a donation of cash or new backpacks! | | Come To Our Little Garden Party Don't forget to make plans to join us next Thursday, July 29th from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at the GRACE Food Pantry as we celebrate those who have helped make the GRACE Community Garden at reality! Shortly after the article ran, "John's" landlord was finally reached and made arrangements for the system to be repaired. In the meantime, a number of people stepped forward offering window units and more! With such generosity shown, GRACE now has the means to cover the next few clients who may face the same emergency. Thank you to everyone who provided assistance, not only to this client, but others who may be on the way! | | Primrose "Spring Fling" Benefits GRACE The Primrose School of Hall Johnson held their "Spring Fling" this year with the intention of raising money for GRACE. Children, parents and school staff worked diligently to raise the money along with help from several local businesses that also contributed their time, talent and treasure. Their efforts paid off big time with a contribution to GRACE of more than $600! Thank you to all of the students, teachers, staff and local businesses who made this contribution possible. Summer is a time of minimal contributions coming in to GRACE, so all help is greatly appreciated! | | | | | |
