International Exotic Animal Sanctuary - See photos of these majestic animals
January, 2010
| Issue 45, January 5, 2010 We Look Forward to Seeing YOU in 2010!
2010 will certainly be bringing special changes for your visit to the Sanctuary. We hope that by the Spring, guests will be able to tour through our newest habitat addition known as Bear Orphanage. This unique habitat is one of a kind featuring two five-acre tracts which are currently housing seven of the Black Bears of IEAS. These natural habitats include everything that a bear would find in the wild, including forest areas, meadow areas, ponds, and den sites for the bears. Once Bear Orphanage is open to the public, we will notify you via our website as well as sending you a special message, inviting you to come and see this amazing accomplishment. New Interns Arrive at IEAS
Our unique Intern Program has been a huge success. Over 90% of our interns have moved on to other reputable facilities to provide quality care for animals. We have former interns pursuing their animal careers at a number of major zoos across the United States such as St. Louis Zoo, Bronx Zoo, San Antonio Zoo, Fort Worth Zoo, Dallas Zoo, Denver Zoo, Cameron Park Zoo and Columbus Zoo, just to name a few. We also have interns working for animal welfare organizations such as governmental, state, and environmental agencies. You can help to support this amazing program as well by Sponsoring an Intern. Please contact us, or call our office at 940-433-5091 to learn more about this special opportunity. IEAS Animals are Truckin' Along!
