 NOTE FROM RACHEL

Spring is here and things are heating up at Girlstart! This summer girls will stir-up the recipe for fun with a pinch of wonder and a dash of chemistry at our Crazy Concoctions camp! We need two electric ovens and one industrial sink to help transform our Science Shack into a Food Engineering Lab. Visit our Girlstart wish list for other items you might have to donate.

And girls, check out this year's Expanding Your Horizons Girls Conference on March 28th! Expanding Your Horizons (EYH) registration is open until March 18th, so get a group of friends together and register today! This year Amy Simmons, the founder of Amy's Ice Cream will be our keynote speaker. The day will showcase incredible professional women with cool careers in math, science, technology, and engineering.

Grown-ups can learn something new at Girlstart too! Register for "Get Your Blog On!,"and learn how to start and promote your own family or business blog.

Finally, I would like to congratulate our very own Julie Shannan, Girlstart's fabulous Deputy Director, for her big win at the Austin Under 40 Awards last week! Congratulations, Julie!
