SARA Lifeline - Holiday Edition
Press Release

November, 2008

I hope you had a happy Thanksgiving. I hung out with all of the animals here on the property and reflected on how thankful I am for you, our supporter. As you know, running this sanctuary takes an incredible amount of resources, and SARA wouldn't exist without your help.

Temperatures are dropping FAST and we need some essentials to keep the animals warm through the winter. Won't you help?

1. Space Heaters: Each donation of $45 will be warmly received to purchase a space heater for an area on our property.

2. Hay for Bedding: A donation of $35 can purchase 5 bales of hay to keep our dogs warm and our farm animals warm & fed through the nights.

3. Dog Beds: Live locally? Have a dog bed your pooch doesn't use anymore? Or an old Futon? Then please come by and drop it off! Or make a $25 donation to purchase a new bed for one of the sanctuary's dogs.

Also if you live in Austin we have "Angel Trees" set up at at Tomlinsons in Westlake Hills and Ben White Blvd starting December 1st. Be an angel and purchase a designated item from this quality retailer and your donations will go directly to the SARA animals.
Don't forget- permanent resident sponsorships make a great gift for Hanukah and Christmas or any occasion. Email for details. We also have SARA 100% cotton logo tees $20 (S M L XL XXL), caps $20 (one size fits all), and coffee mugs $8. Note cards $3 each, farm animals, dogs, cats, or an assortment.

Please contact our new volunteer coordinator Sylver Rios-Lisk to schedule a time to volunteer. We will need volunteers on Christmas Day. We're having a small party and work day starting at 10 AM, December 25th.

Get set for the holidays & turn each purchase into a donation for SARA! Shop online at with sales in over 700 brand name stores!

As always, I'm grateful for your support.

Sincerely,  Tracy Frank
SARA Director

P.S. After I typed up this letter, we got a dog in whose leg is practically severed just above the paw. Pictures and a full story will be on our site shortly. This amputation won't be cheap. Please keep him in mind when considering a donation to SARA.

P.P.S. On a lighter note, we have
5 adorable puppies who were born on Nov 20.
They are Australian cattle dog mixes. Please contact us for more information.
