Speaking out for children & families
as we rebuild Texas
Hello friends,

It has been a devastating few days here in Houston and throughout the Gulf Coast region.  Our hearts go out to everyone suffering as a result of Hurricane Harvey, ESPECIALLY our most vulnerable children and families. There is no doubt that many of us impacted will have a long road ahead until we feel like our lives have returned to normal.  As we are doing so, we want to reassure you that CHILDREN AT RISK will continue to speak out for children throughout the state.  We will do everything within our power to ensure that children and families are taken care of.

On behalf of the staff at CHILDREN AT RISK, we hope you and your families are making it through this difficult time.  We are confident that the Texas spirit will persevere and as a city, region, and state, we will soon feel complete again.

For children!

Hope for Children

There is a tremendous spirit of cooperation among our community. Everyone is looking for ways to help or be there for one another, and that part is truly gratifying.
What's next?

C@R will be acting as a critical children's hub in Houston by speaking out for the children and families impacted by Hurricane Harvey, making sure that local, state, and federal officials understand the devastation caused by the storm and focus on real solutions to these challenges. In the months to come we will be relying on our friends for help as thought and resource partners as we plan to get Houston's children back to near normal. To help support C@R efforts, you can donate here. Please specify that the donation is intended for Hurricane Harvey relief efforts.
