The 2018 NCAA® Men’s Final Four® Makes Its Fiesta Debut!
San Antonio Sports

April, 2017

The collegiate basketball season has ended and San Antonio is now on the clock for next year’s NCAA Men’s Final Four. As the city prepares for Fiesta, the San Antonio Local Organizing Committee (SALOC) is celebrating by releasing an official Final Four Fiesta medal to the public beginning April 11.

SALOC will be collecting donations of $10 for the limited edition medals. Proceeds will benefit San Antonio Sports’ i play! afterschool program, which added basketball this year as a legacy program of the NCAA Men’s Final Four. Students in 45 inner-city elementary schools in San Antonio and Harlandale school districts participate in the program that offers free, skill-based instruction in five sports.

The SALOC team will kick off Fiesta on April 11 at two locations: Fiesta South Bank Medal Stroll at Hard Rock Café downtown, 111 W Crockett St. #210, from 5-8 p.m. and the Fiesta Medal Party at Luther’s Café, 1503 N Main Ave., from 7 – 9 p.m. Additional locations at which to purchase and/or win a medal will be announced on the Final Four – San Antonio Facebook page, and @FinalFour on Twitter and Instagram during Fiesta.
