Using the Measuring Program Outcomes: A Practical Approach from the United Way of America, Alice Ruhnke will demonstrate why logic models are critical for program planning and evaluation. During this webinar, you will learn how to create and use a logic model to help you improve services and your impact on your community. Executive directors, program managers, and grantwriters from a broad range of human service organizations will benefit from this 90-minute presentation.

Alice Ruhnke is the founder and owner of The Grant Advantage, an innovative consulting business devoted to helping organizations unleash their strengths to embrace tomorrow's opportunities. Over the past decade, Alice has worked with hundreds of nonprofit organizations to help them increase their organizational capacity and secure funding. She has raised over $14 million writing federal, state, foundation, and corporate grant proposals and has been in charge of awarding and monitoring federal funds to nonprofit organizations throughout West Virginia. If Alice is not at her computer writing, she can usually be found facilitating trainings for individuals and organizations, including Strength Based Grant Writing for Nonprofit Organizations, Accessing Federal Funds, and Using Outcome Data to Tell Your Story. Alice has also organized several funding conferences to address organizational sustainability for nonprofits.

Linda Avedon is an experienced nonprofit executive whose professional career spans over 30 years in leadership positions, including 22 years as President and Chief Executive Officer for United Way organizations in Modesto, CA and Richmond, IN and most recently as Director of Donor and Agency Relations for the United Way of Greater Baytown Area & Chambers County. Linda has extensive volunteer management and outcome based strategic planning experience having worked with top Fortune 500 Corporation Chief Executive Officers and Senior Executives and has successfully directed fundraising efforts totaling over $75 million in charitable contributions for annual and capital funds. She holds an MA in Organizational Communications/Higher Education Administration from Ohio University, a BS degree in Organizational Communications from Ohio University, and a certificate in Total Quality Management from California State University Stanislaus. She has taught numerous fundraising and new CEO classes at the National Academy of Voluntarism, Alexandria, VA.
