Free PR Counseling for Local Nonprofits

The Public Relations Society of America, San Antonio Chapter is accepting applications for its annual Gift of Guidance program for local nonprofit organizations to receive a free public relations consulting session. On Nov. 3, PR pros will provide help with fine-tuning media messages, planning events and developing basic public relations plans. To be eligible, a nonprofit must NOT have any PR on staff or as consultants. The deadline to apply is 5 p.m. Friday, Oct. 7.

NEA Warns Public about Grant Scam 

Washington, DC-The National Endowment for the Arts, a federal grantmaking agency, is the subject of a scam and is alerting the public not to respond to fraudulent notifications. 

If you are contacted by someone purporting to be with the National Endowment for the Arts who asks you to send money in order to receive a grant, please report this incident to the NEA's Office of Inspector General via email at oig@arts.gov or by calling 202-682-5402.   Please protect yourself against this fraudulent activity.
