NAM/BJM Fall 2016 Career Fair is Back!
Houston, Texas—September 12, 2016. The Learning Center at Northwest Assistance Ministries (NAM) and Between Jobs Ministry (BJM) are ready to host their fourth annual career fair!
The NAM/BJM Fall 2016 Career Fair will be held at the Northwest Bible Church, at 5503 Fellowship Lane, Spring, TX 77379 on Tuesday, October 4, 2016 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. More than 40 employers and representatives from various non-profit and veteran organizations are expected to participate in the event. No registration is required to attend.
“It’s a wonderful event and we offer more than your typical career fair,” explained Mary Silbert, Director of NAM’s Learning Center. “The NAM/BJM Fall 2016 Career Fair will provide job seekers with the opportunity to meet potential employers face-to-face, something that it is so difficult to obtain these days. People are appreciative of this opportunity and it gives them hope that there are still opportunities available, especially after the Houston area has been hit hard with layoffs,” Silbert said.
The NAM/BJM Fall 2016 Career Fair will also showcase resources for veterans, information about educational grants and non-profits. Guest speaker and coach, Bill Proctor, will be teaching his Special Job Readiness Workshop that will allow participants to gain insight into the job search process.
