Are you a new nonprofit CEO or a C-suite leader seeking to build your leadership and nonprofit management skills? Could you benefit from a mentor relationship and a network of peers?
Thanks to generous support from the Tesoro Foundation, the San Antonio Area Foundation will implement the Tesoro Leadership Fellows Program, a nine-month training and support program for emerging nonprofit CEOs and C-suite leaders.
In addition to workshops that build nonprofit technical skills in board governance, financial management, resource development and more, Fellows attend leadership workshops led by HOLT Development Services, Inc., a globally-recognized training group. Workshops will cover:
- Impact of Values-based leadership
- Individual behavioral work styles and communication preferences
- Managing interpersonal and organizational conflict
- Ken Blanchard’s Situational Leadership© II model and tenets
To ensure Fellows have a safe place to ask questions and to gain insight about leadership roles, the program includes monthly mentoring sessions with a seasoned nonprofit CEO.
And a bonus . . . Fellows received one complimentary admission to Board Boot Camp, a day-long conference in January, 2017 hosted by the Area Foundation.
Those encouraged to apply are CEOs with less than five years tenure and/or C-suite leaders. The cost is $2,495 and thanks to the Tesoro Foundation, Fellows who meet the attendance requirement will be reimbursed $1,495 upon completion of the program.
Visit saafdn.org for more information. The deadline to apply is Friday, June 3, 2016. Hurry -- space is limited to 20 Fellows.
