For the third-straight year, Sideliners Grill will host Special Olympics Texas’ annual Flame of Hope Volleyball Tournament on Saturday, Nov. 14 beginning at 6:00 p.m. This event raises funds for providing sports training and competition for more than 9,300 children and adults with intellectual disabilities in the San Antonio area.
Those interested in playing, can register on-site the day of the event starting at 5:00 p.m. or in advance at www.sotx.org/flamevolleyball. The fee is $30 per player.
Tournament levels are recreational and advanced. The goal is to have two brackets (one advanced and one recreational), but if there are not enough teams, there will be one bracket comprised of advanced and recreational teams.
Teams that finish in 1st and 2nd place will be awarded. This is an outdoor event; sand socks are recommended.
