Special Olympics Texas will host its annual Greater Dallas Area Spring Games in McKinney on Friday, April 24 and Saturday, April 25. Nearly 1,300 athletes, ranging in age from 8-76 years old, will compete in Athletics (Track & Field), Soccer and Tennis. Events are free and open to the public. Volunteers are still needed. A full breakdown of the schedule is below.
Track & Field events will take place at Ron Poe Stadium (200 Doe Rollins, McKinney), while Soccer and Tennis will be hosted at McKinney North High School (2550 Wilmeth Rd).
All athletes 12 years and up will be vying to qualify for Summer Games (May 22-24 in Arlington), where they will have a chance to compete for a state title.

Friday, April 24
Track & Field: 5:45 p.m. – Ron Poe Stadium
Soccer: 6:00 p.m. – McKinney North High School
Tennis: 6:00 p.m. - McKinney North High School
Saturday, April 25
Opening Ceremony: 8:45 a.m. – Ron Poe Stadium
Track & Field: 9:50 a.m. - Ron Poe Stadium
Soccer: 10:00 a.m. – McKinney North High School
Tennis: 10:00 a.m. – McKinney North High School
