Local Shipley Do-Nuts to Hold Cops on Top SOTX Fundraiser
Special Olympics Texas

Local law enforcement in the San Antonio area will occupy the rooftop of the Shipley Do-Nuts location at 1019 W. Bitters Rd., San Antonio, TX, Friday, April 10 – Sunday, April 12 from 7:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. each day to raise awareness and funds for Special Olympics Texas (SOTX).

Grab breakfast during those hours and tip local police officers for their dedicated effort to support SOTX athletes. All proceeds will go on to provide programming for more than 9,300 SOTX athletes in the San Antonio area.

About the Law Enforcement Torch Run (LETR)

The Law Enforcement Torch Run (LETR) is Special Olympics' largest grass-roots fundraiser and public awareness vehicle.  In Texas, the Law Enforcement Torch Run began in 1985 and had grown to become one of the largest in the nation.  In the last decade, Torch Run has contributed over $11 million through the dedication of thousands of law enforcement personnel fundraising on behalf of SOTX.  The support provided by this dedicated group has contributed greatly to programs in local communities, which involve more than 53,400 athletes with intellectual disabilities throughout the state.
