Human trafficking is an egregious violation of human rights and it is happening in our very own state. Men, women, and children are being bought and sold as commodities, and Texans will not stand for it. Our state has been a national leader in fighting this crime, but there is still much work to be done. Join us at the Texas State Capitol to show your support for laws addressing human trafficking during the 84th Legislative Session.
Participants will be provided with informational packets about human trafficking advocacy, and we encourage you to consider meeting with lawmakers after the rally to discuss legislative efforts around human trafficking.
8:30 am: Informational Session and March
First Baptist Church of Austin
Join the Christian Life Commission and other anti-trafficking groups at First Baptist Church of Austin for an informational session. Participants will learn more about human trafficking, policy priorities, and how to speak with legislative officials. The group will then march to the South Steps of the Capitol for a rally and press conference.
10:00 am: Rally & Press Conference

Show your support for anti-trafficking legislation by gathering on the South Steps of the Texas State Capitol for a rally and press conference. Hear from legislative champions, thank them for their dedication to the cause, and urge our legislature to make human trafficking a priority issue during the 84th Legislative Session. We encourage you to take time to visit your public officials after the event.
