Today, Lutheran Social Services of the South (LSS), an organization committed to ending multigenerational child abuse through innovative children’s services, announced the leadership appointment of Edgar Ricalde as Foster In Texas (FIT) regional director.
“Lutheran Social Services of the South is excited for Edgar to take on his new role as regional director of Foster In Texas,” said Robert Leal, LSS Executive Vice President of Programs. “His experience and skills will prove invaluable in providing quality care to the children in our program for years to come.”
In his new role, Ricalde will use his expertise in providing quality social services to oversee administrative and fiscal supervision of foster care services. He most recently served as area director of the LSS Laredo office and brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience in the field of foster care. Prior to stepping into his position as area director, Ricalde served as executive director for Voz de Ninos, a court appointed special advocate program which serves the abused and neglected children of Webb County. Ricalde received his master’s degree in social work from the University of Texas-Pan American.
