Amputee Feral Kitten Survives and Thrives!
Little London doing well after surgery.
London right before surgery.
Feral Friends helps many feral cats by providing low cost spay and neuter surgery.  But every once in a while, a situation comes along that goes above and beyond the basics.  So goes the story of London.

We received an email from a concerned caregiver about a feral kitten in his colony he was feeding.  Among the four cats was one who looked to have a paw rotting off the end of his arm.  This picture shows the sad state of the little kitten before his surgery.

Luckily, little London came through the surgery with flying colors, and is resting comfortably!  A big thanks to Dr. Pupp at Watters Animal Hospital for her excellent surgical skills.  His arm had to be amputated up to the shoulder to make sure that no infection was left behind.

London is resting comfortably inside his caregiver's home, and due to possible difficulty of being able to get around with a missing front leg, he will most likely become an indoor kitty. Time will tell!

PLEASE CONSIDER A DONATION
Surgeries such as this one take a toll on our funds.  We will never turn away a kitty in need and will always find the money to help, but it is because of our generous supporters that we are able to replenish our funds and continue to help more cats.

London's amputation was approximately $600 and we ask that anyone who is able please make a donation toward this procedure.  Any money collected above and beyond this surgery cost will go into the feral surgery fund to be used for any future feral kitties who need extra vet care.

Please click here to make a secure online donation. Or you can mail in a donation to Feral Friends, P.O. Box 832857, Richardson, Texas 75083.  Thank you so much for your support!
