Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation Names Sarah Conway Executive Director of its Texas/Southeast Division
The Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation (IICF)

August, 2014

The Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation (IICF) has named Sarah Conway executive director of its Texas/Southeast Division. In this role, Conway will be responsible for leading the IICF’s charitable and philanthropic initiatives in the region, which include the local nonprofit grant programs as well as the running of the Division’s annual slate of fundraising, volunteer, and networking events.

“We are excited to welcome Sarah to the IICF as executive director of the Texas/Southeast Division. Her passion and dedication to giving back to the community will continue to unite the entire region and will bring an unparalleled level of zest to furthering our team’s charitable mission and pursuits," said Bill Ross, CEO of the IICF.

Conway joins the IICF with a wealth of experience in nonprofit organization management in the Dallas area. Most recently, she served as a development officer with the Children’s Medical Center of Dallas, one of the largest not-for-profit pediatric healthcare systems in the country. In this role, she personally solicited more than $1 million in funds for research programs and oversaw more than 50 fundraising teams and events across the organization. In addition, Conway is the Founding Board Chairman of “The One” Society, a 501(c)(3) organization that engages local young professionals in community involvement.

Conway succeeds Carol Mason as the executive director of the IICF’s Texas/Southeast Division. Bill Henry, President of MHBT Inc. and chairman of the Texas Southeast division said, “Carol Mason has been a tremendous asset to the IICF in extending our reach throughout the region and cultivating meaningful relationships. We are especially appreciative of her dedication to this organization and its mission, and are confident that Sarah Conway will continue to foster the mission of IICF as she enters into this role.”

Founded in 2012, the IICF’s Texas/Southeast Division is based in Dallas and serves Texas and the Southeast region of the U.S.  Every year, the Division awards local grants to regional nonprofits focusing on Children, Education, and Veterans issues. In 2014, the Texas/Southeast Division awarded $286,000 in grants to 13 regional charitable organizations.
