Do you work with parents in the Fort Worth area? Are they wondering how to find the right school for their child? If you are a service provider, school representative, community advocate, nonprofit representative, or just someone interested in providing Fort Worth parents with parent involvement and school choice information, you are invited to attend a community workshop on our most recently released resource: Texas School Guide: A Parent’s Roadmap to Success in Fort Worth ISD Area Public Schools.
In January, CHILDREN AT RISK released Texas School Guide: A Parent's Roadmap to Success in Public Schools. Texas School Guide is available in English and Spanish and contains detailed data on campuses, spanning a range of key topics from average class size to graduation rates. Parent Action Guides are also included to help parents along their journey, covering topics such as early childhood education, parent involvement and preparing for post-secondary education. This publication is available free of cost to parents and service providers, both in print and on the Texas School Guide website, www.texasschoolguide.org.
The community workshop will explain the contents of the guide and provide an opportunity for you to give feedback on what you would like to see in the second edition. During the workshop you will receive a free copy of the 250 page publication and a complimentary lunch.
