Winston School of San Antonio

Strategic Instruction Model® courses have not been available readily to professionals in South Texas until now.  The Winston School San Antonio offers three dates of professional development for Speech-Language Pathologists, teachers, and tutors:




On June 18, “Sentence Writing Strategies” is presented from 8:00 – 3:30.    $205


On June 25, “Paragraph Writing Strategy” is presented from 8:00 – 3:30.     $150


On July 2 and 9, “Strategic Tutoring” is presented from 8:00 – 3:30.               $324




Julia A. Eyer, Ph.D., CCC-CLP, BRS-CL, will present these sessions.  Each class provides either 6.0 CEU’s for educators or 6.0 credits through ALTA.  Application is in process to TSHA.  For updates and details, please visit




WSSA is the only school in Texas incorporating SIM® in grades K-12.  WSSA offers these courses as part of its community outreach mission.




About Dr. Eyer: Dr. Eyer is board recognized as a specialist in child language and as a certified speech-language pathologist through the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.  She is an award-winning author and educator and has worked in educational and clinical settings with children from toddlers through high school ages.  She is a Certified Professional Developer in SIM Learning Strategies.
