Nonprofit Leadership Academy
“People buy into the leader before they buy into the vision.”
We believe leaders are made, not born. With that assumption, the San Antonio Area Foundation partnered with the Graduate School of Business and Leadership at Our Lady of the Lake University to create an advanced Leadership Academy specifically geared to nonprofit CEOs, Executive Directors and their senior management staff. This intensive, four-day training program will help executives master the skills necessary to lead their organizations to the next level in achieving their mission.
With a focused, hands-on curriculum developed and led by Our Lady of the Lake University, participants will gain personalized tools necessary to improve their leadership skills. Topics will include:
Local nonprofit leaders will share interactive sessions with their peers as they learn how to model, inspire, challenge, enable and encourage those in their organizations and in our community. Over the course of a week, participants will receive a complete and personalized leadership assessment.

This comprehensive academy requires a four day commitment, including required outside reading and assignments.

Applicants must be an Executive Director, CEO or Senior Manager at a nonprofit or community organization.
Because class size is limited, an application process is necessary. Applications are available and will be accepted electronically or in person through April 30. Those accepted into the program will be notified by May 6. Required books and reading materials will be provided no later than May 31, 2013. Limited scholarships may be available.
