The local non-profit and 501 (c)3’s main goal is recruit at least 500 annual members each year, then give back an average of $500,000 per year to area non-profits through this collective–giving. Each Impact Austin member contributes $1,000 as part of her membership which, in turn, is combined with the other dues to provide the special grants to nonprofits for new projects and programs. Impact Austin brings new resources into the community through high-impact grants, as they engage, develop and inspire women to effect positive change.
By the end of June, Impact Austin will have extended 40 grants to local organizations in the Austin community totaling over four million dollars. Grants are awarded to the selected nonprofits in June of each year to assist with new programs and projects that will deliver impactful results for our community.
“This event marks a milestone for Impact Austin and we want to share that not only with our members and partners, but also the public and those interested in learning more about our process and our grant recipients. We invite everyone to join us at the event and help celebrate the success of our collective giving. Last year we were able to give $518,000 back to the Austin community and in our ten years of extraordinary impact, we have helped distribute over four million dollars in grants to area nonprofits,” commented Elizabeth Fitzgerald, Executive Director of Impact Austin.
