CHILDREN AT RISK is proud to present our seventh annual education reform conference, this year with a focus on extending learning time in our schools. This day-long summit brings together outstanding leaders in the field of education to discuss the strategy of extended learning time for public school reform.
In the course of the day, speakers and panels will address timely topics, including successful extended-time school models, cost-effective strategies for extending the school year and school day, and public policy solutions to implement extended learning time. In addition, conference attendees will have the opportunity to go on site visits to Houston schools currently implementing extended learning time and see it in action.
CHILDREN AT RISK is a non-partisan, non-profit organization that seeks to drive change for children through strategic research, public policy analysis, education, collaboration, and advocacy. We are leading the way to ensure that every child in Texas receives an excellent education that prepares them for postsecondary success.
Continuing Professional Education credit will be offered for teachers (CPE #501646), school board members (CPE #09-085-I), and school counselors in attendance.
