Join Our Team

I am blessed to be a part of an organization that provides value to our community. San Antonio Sports bids on and hosts premier amateur athletic events that benefit our community’s bottom line. To date, that economic impact totals $424 million. We provide free sports and anti-obesity fitness programs to schools. And we serve as a catalyst for the development of quality recreational and athletic facilities in our community, from the Palo Alto College Natatorium to the STAR soccer complex. When we bid on events and initiate programs, it is important that the NCAA and others know we have the support of our community. San Antonio Sports has 317 individual and 69 business members. In a city of 1.3 million people, we have a lot of room to grow in membership support at every level. Please join our team and help us continue to fulfill our mission to transform our community through the power of sport.

All Can Ski
All Can Ski

The smiles on the faces of participants and volunteers, and the sheer joy of seeing them water ski, makes San Antonio Sports All Can Ski one of the most rewarding events we do. All Can Ski is the largest waterskiing clinic for people with physical disabilities in the United States and we celebrated its 20th anniversary this year. More than 120 individuals of all ages participated Aug. 21-23 on the ski lake atSeaWorld San Antonio, including wounded military men and women, many of whom are being treated at San Antonio’s Center for the Intrepid.

Started in 1992, All Can Ski was created to provide persons with physical disabilities the opportunity to experience waterskiing. Such disabilities include spinal cord injuries, spina bifida, amputees, cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy, and multiple sclerosis.

“For so many participants, this is a chance to leave wheelchairs and crutches on the dock, enjoy the thrill of water skiing and experience what’s possible,” saysRoss Davis, San Antonio Sports director of marking and a Paralympic gold medalist who has coordinated the event since 1995. Thanks to SeaWorld San Antonio for providing the venue and complimentary admission to volunteers and skiing participants, and to World Entertainment Services, for donating the use of its boats, boat drives, and professional ski team that performs at SeaWorld.
