Roasted: Unlicensed Sexually Oriented Businesses
Roasted will be not only a public awareness event, but a public engagement event. Attendees will have the opportunity to become educated on the hot topic of human trafficking in the Houston area; more importantly, Roasted will act as a launch pad for those who desire to go beyond the statistics, and take action. Through presentations, interactive technology, and conversing with others who share the same passion, guests will become more informed and empowered to generate change in their own homes and communities.

Human Trafficking Bus Tour
Houston has been identified as a hub for human trafficking. The Department of Justice estimates that 1 in 4 of the hundreds of thousands of trafficking victims in the nation will travel through Houston at some point. Using large interstates, a major port, and hundreds of unlicensed sexually oriented businesses, traffickers have spread this crime throughout our city. If you look closely and know what to look for, you will see where trafficking is occurring within your community.
Join CHILDREN AT RISK on its Human Trafficking Bus Tour where you will learn about the signs that reveal where human trafficking happens, and find out first-hand how these venues are able to hide in plain sight.
