International Victims and Domestic Minor Victims

Victims of human trafficking face circumstances that make them uniquely vulnerable in the immigration and criminal justice systems. The Trafficking Victims Protection Act created T Visas to help survivors of human trafficking to gain legal status in this country and access to services to overcome their victimization. Speakers will provide information about the requirements for filing for T Visas and immigration benefits available to survivors of human trafficking, as well as the unique needs of domestic minor victims of human trafficking. CLE credit of 1.25 hours is pending.
SEMINAR WILL INCLUDE:
- Human Trafficking 101
- Legal requirements and procedures for applying for T Visas for victims of human trafficking
- Needs of domestic minor victims
- Updates on recent changes in law and policy
