SKIIN’ WITH THE GALILEAN (ATHENS, TX) – JULY 26

This year’s Skiin’ with the Galilean in Marble Falls filled up in record time! But there’s still one more opportunity for foster youth to attend: on Thursday, July 26,in Athens, TX.

Skiin' with the Galilean (SWTG) is a Christian ministry designed to serve youth currently in foster care by providing them with: a safe, fun-filled day of water skiing, wakeboarding, boat rides and tubing; fun and games with a biblical message; lunch AND dinner. All at no cost to the foster children or their families! This is the first year SWTG is also being held in Athens, so please help us get the word out to families in that area about this wonderful opportunity.

To sign up, please call or text Joe Wood at 903-681-0618 (preferred) or email him atjrw0205@gmail.com.

ADOPTION COALITION WELCOMES NEW PARTNERS

The Adoption Coalition of Texas is pleased to announce the addition of The Settlement Home for Children and STARRY Foster Care to our group of non-profit child-placing agencies.  Coalition partners Arrow Child & Family Ministries, Lutheran Social Services, Pathways Youth and Family Services, and Child Protective Services welcome these new partners to our collaborative efforts of finding permanent, loving homes for Central Texas foster children awaiting adoption.

About the Settlement Home for Children

The mission of The Settlement Home for Children is to care for and promote the healing of troubled children and their families. They provide state-of-the-art programs and services for children entrusted in foster care. Their 10-acre campus is rich in history and provides a tranquil atmosphere for children to heal and grow. The driving force for the organization is the Settlement Club, a volunteer group of over 450 dedicated women whose mission is to provide a quality home for neglected and abused children. Established as the Girls' Settlement Club in 1916, The Settlement Home for Children is owned and operated by The Settlement Club. For more information, visit their website at www.settlementhome.org.

FOREVER FAMILIES – WATCH THESE NEW SEGMENTS

Forever Families child profile segments air on Time Warner Cable’s YNN channel every Sunday. We strive to make the filming experience fun and special for the profiled child. We do an activity in which the child has expressed an interest to give viewers a glimpse of the child’s personality.

We deeply appreciate the time, generosity, and kindness our hosts extend to the children each week. We’d like to thank the filming hosts recognized below and encourage you to watch the corresponding Forever Families segment if you haven’t already by clicking on the child’s name or photo:
