The future of good - Navigating the new social economy with a new toolkit designed by Lucy Bernholz
Lucy Bernholz

March, 2012

Navigating the New Social Economy: Making Sense of Philanthropy’s Future was created to help us think about how philanthropy is changing and about what these changes mean for our organizations.

“Good hockey players play where the puck is. Great hockey players play where the puck is going to be.” - Wayne Gretzky

Choices for donors, for nonprofits and for all the ways they work together are changing. In a climate of continuous change, planning for the future is hard. No one can predict what the future will look like. But, like good hockey players, we can hone our skills at seeing patterns, knowing the field around us and not assuming that the position of organizations today is where we will be tomorrow.

Are you ready for big changes on philanthropy’s horizon? Some of them are already here. Take advantage of this insightful publication and accompanying tools to engage your organization and trustees in planning for the future. As Wayne Gretzky says….”where the puck is going to be.”
