Impact San Antonio awards a $100,000 grant annually to a single non-profit organization that serves the Bexar County region. Project grant applications in one of five focus areas: arts & culture, education, family, health/wellness, and, NEW THIS YEAR--environment/recreation/historic preservation, will be accepted from March 1 – May 31, 2012. Free applicant training workshops will be held at Texas Public Radio, 8401 Datapoint Drive, Suite 800 on March 13th from 2:00-4:00 PM and March 21st from 6:00-8:00 PM. Seating is limited and advance reservations are requested via email to Michelle Price at email@example.com. Attendance at one of the workshop sessions is encouraged, but is not required to submit an application.
This will be the eighth year a project grant will be awarded to a San Antonio non-profit agency by Impact San Antonio, a “giving circle” comprised of individual women who each contribute $1,000 annually and combine their donations into at least one substantial grant per year. “This year our goal is to reach 200 members so we can give even more money to the deserving non-profits that serve our community,” says Ann Parker, Board President, Impact San Antonio. “We are looking for more women who want to ‘make a difference in people’s lives, and encourage them to visit our website for more information on how to join.” The deadline to join Impact San Antonio for 2012 as a member is September 30, 2012.
