Miracle Farm

February, 2012

"A Day At Miracle Farm," the annual day of free fun and family-friendly activities at the residential boys ranch in Washington County, will be held on Saturday, April 7, from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The schedule includes a patriotic horseback flag presentation, wagon tours of the Farm, tours of the Miracle Farm cottages, a team roping exhibition, and a petting zoo, bounce houses and horseback rides for children of all ages.

All "A Day At Miracle Farm" activities are always free, but attendees have the option of purchasing a ticket for a mouth-watering, Texas-style barbecue lunch served from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Barbecue tickets are $8 in advance and $10 the day of the event. Children ages 3 and under eat for free. To purchase barbecue tickets online, visit www.MiracleFarm.org and click on the Purchase BBQ Tickets link. You may also call (979) 836-0901 to make reservations.

"The boys always look forward to sharing their home with visitors and showing off their riding and roping skills," said Executive Director Alex Hamilton. "We enjoy welcoming back Miracle Farm alumni and their families and all of our neighbors and families from all parts of Texas."

In addition to barbecue and free Blue Bell Ice Cream, the Brazos Country Grass Band will be playing. For those who don't want to enjoy a barbecue lunch, picnic lunches are encouraged.
