Charles Dickens' 200th Birthday Celebration [http://r20.rs6.net/tn.jsp?llr=ctqzkybab&et=1109047783773&s=4558&e=001oxN1gTtEhg7aU-Lg8pl5JNiTk5n24WHUSxCo6m2Tn0BHWYre9NnJ7iU15OxnxGDdmLV-_P15sYrS60q8_j8n3AVp9a3pV1GinsBlss8OmybtcEXzZ6wUcTo8AvmJ7s8v34CX2lWlvo2weXXD0FZ_OP-v_S84A46F]
facilitated by Darron Hamilton

Sunday, February 12 2012, 1 PM

Location TBA

When one considers that a birthday is bestowed upon each of us without regard to
merit or achievement, it seems peculiar that its annual recurrence should be cause
for celebration, particularly when it occurs in the life of a man unknown to the
celebrants and unlikely to either attend the festivity or defray its expense. Nevertheless,
it is appropriate for us, as men and women dedicated to the appreciation of all
things literary, to mark the 200th anniversary of the nativity of a writer of lasting
and worldwide appeal. We, therefore, cordially invite you to join us for an energetic
discussion of the life, literature, and legacy of Charles Dickens. Guests are encouraged
to bring favorite passages from the author's work. Wassail will be provided.

DARRON HAMILTON is an attorney with degrees from Texas A&M University, the University
of Texas, and the University of Houston. He has lived in Dallas for six years and
recently joined the Writer's Garret Community and Mentorship Project (Writer's CAMP).

This event is FREE, but donations (large or small) are accepted and deeply appreciated.
