A Message from our Co-Founder...

Pamela with TitleGreetings!

The Dress for Success San Antonio staff, Board of Directors, and Advisory Council wish you and your family a very happy, safe, and healthy Holiday Season.

We have been successful this year in many areas even as we mourn the loss of two valuable staff members:

  • The number of clients who have secured employment as a result of utilizing our services has continued to climb. In October alone, we projected 6 placements. However, 42 clients secured employment, a 700% increase above projection.
  • We contracted with bestselling author and fundraiser, Laura Fredricks, to help us develop a structured fundraising process, which is critical as we move forward in our goal of obtaining a permanent home.
  • This month we will be completing the third class for our new job readiness training program, the Going Places Network (GPN) by Wal-Mart. This is an intense 9-week course involving aptitude realization, career development, and job-search skills building. Click here to view a GPN client success story.
  • We established the "Precious Gems Society," a giving society that allows individuals and companies to support the organization at various levels.   Please click here for annual giving levels and further information.

Dress for Success San Antonio is a local non-profit agency serving over 1,000 low-income women each year, which affects more than 2,220 children annually. We could not do this incredible work without your help.  Consider honoring a friend or loved one with a tax-deductible donation in their name during this season of giving and stop the cycle of generational poverty.  All gifts made during the month of December will be recognized on our website throughout 2012.
