Free Kids’ Night

Kids are free between 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

$1 parking between 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. (Mid-City garage on the corner of Navarro and College St.) Children must be accompanied by an adult. One adult may accompany up to four children.

 

Patch n’ Play

2, 4, 6, 8 Colors and Shapes are Great

Brownies will earn their colors, shapes and number try -its in a 90 minute museum led activity. Cost includes activity, two try-its, one SACM patch and a full day of museum admission. Reservation required.

Every Wednesday

Pint-Sized Science introduces your budding scientists to basic science concepts. Every month we’ll explore a different theme such as weather, animals, reactions, nutrition and many more.  Free with museum admission.
May Theme:  Water, Water Everywhere!
5/4 Bubble Trouble: Learn about bubbles as we bounce them, blow them and fill them with smoke.
5/11 Whatever Floats you Boat
: Create your own boat and learn about buoyancy.
5/18 Just Add Water: Watch as amazing things happen when we investigate liquids and solids.
5/25 Density: Can you mix oil and water? Come find out! Create your lava lamp and learn about density.


Toddler Time (Early Childhood - 0-36 months)

Staff led activities building upon your child’s fine and gross motor skills. Weekly activities may include reading, music and exploration of hands-on materials. For ages 0-3 years.

Reading Adventures (Pre-K)

Reading Adventures is an early childhood program created and taught by experienced early childhood educators. The program strengthens language, listening and motor skills through story time, pretend dramatic play and multisensory activities. FREE with museum admission.      

 

Dots & Squiggles (Pre-K)
Every Friday

Dots and Squiggles is an early childhood program created and taught by experienced early childhood educators. Fun and engaging lessons encourage children to experience a wide variety of activities that incorporate art, sensory exploration, movement, music, story time and dramatic play. FREE with museum admission.  

 

FETCH! (Pre-K – Elem) 
Every Friday, Saturday and Sunday

Hands-on science experiments for all ages.

Art Studio  (Pre-K – Elem) 
Every Saturday * 11:00am – 1:00pm
Every Third Wednesday * 2:00pm – 4:00pm
The Art Studio is a fun, hands-on activity space where children and parents or caregivers can create art together. Lively and well equipped, the Art Studio provides opportunities for exploring self-expression led by artist-educators. FREE with museum admission.
May Theme: Wire, Bead and String Sculpture: Create a wire, bead and string collage sculpture using a template or your very own imagination. The possibilities are endless.

The San Antonio Children’s Museum provides engaging hands-on experiences Where Kids Play to Learn and Adults Learn to Play!  The museum offers three floors of interactive, educational exhibits for children ages 0-10 years and their caregivers.  Visit today to experience the action packed PowerBall Hall, H-E-B Kids’ Market, Tot Spot and our NEWEST exhibit, Science City, where kids can learn and think like scientists!  Museum visitors can also explore the sciences, creative arts and early literacy through our weekly educational programs. The San Antonio Children’s Museum is a nonprofit, 501(c)(3) organization. We depend on admissions, membership dues and contributions to continue our mission of offering quality programming, exhibits and events to the children of San Antonio and surrounding areas.
