United Ways of Texas

April, 2011

"Knowledge is power."

In the case of higher education attainment, research shows this is age-old addage is true - high school students who do not know about the costs of higher education are less likely to persue higher education.

UWT has been diligently working to advance House Bill 34 by Chairman Dan Branch (R-Dallas) this session, a revenue-neutral bill that would provide Texas high school students with much-needed information about higher education costs.

Ask Chairwoman Thompson to place HB 34 on the Local & Consent Calendar.
