Free Kids’ Night

Kids are free between 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

$1 parking between 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. (Mid-City garage on the corner of Navarro and College St.) Children must be accompanied by an adult. One adult may accompany up to four children.

Lost and Found Sculpture Art

Celebrate Earth Day by creating recycled “Lost and Found” sculpture art. Use objects from the Museum or bring your own ”junk” from home to create a repurposed masterpiece.

Pint-Sized Science (Ages 4-6 yrs) 
Every Wednesday

Pint-Sized Science introduces your budding scientists to basic science concepts. Every month we’ll explore a different theme such as weather, animals, reactions, nutrition and many more.  Free with museum admission.
April Theme:  Going Green
4/6 Totally Rad Recycling: Create cool gadgets out of recycled material and discover why recycling is so important.
4/13 Eating Great for Me: Learn about why healthy foods that come from the earth are so good and taking care of our bodies is so important.
4/20 Water, Water, Everywhere: Make a fun water toy to take home and learn about why conserving water is so important.
4/27 Plant for the Planet: Learn about plants and how they help the environment. Use your green thumb to pot a plant, then take it home and watch it grow.

Toddler Time
 (Early Childhood - 0-36 months)
Every Tuesday & Thursday

Staff led activities building upon your child’s fine and gross motor skills. Weekly activities may include reading, music and exploration of hands-on materials. For ages 0-3 years.

Reading Adventures (Pre-K)

Reading Adventures is an early childhood program created and taught by experienced early childhood educators. The program strengthens language, listening and motor skills through story time, pretend dramatic play and multisensory activities. FREE with museum admission.      

 

Dots & Squiggles (Pre-K)

Dots and Squiggles is an early childhood program created and taught by experienced early childhood educators. Fun and engaging lessons encourage children to experience a wide variety of activities that incorporate art, sensory exploration, movement, music, story time and dramatic play. FREE with museum admission.

Hands-on science experiments for all ages.

Art Studio  (Pre-K – Elem)

The Art Studio is a fun, hands-on activity space where children and parents or caregivers can create art together. Lively and well equipped, the Art Studio provides opportunities for exploring self-expression led by artist-educators. FREE with museum admission.
April Theme: Aboriginal Art: Join us for an artistic and cultural experience. Discover the colors, lines and designs that make Aboriginal art so unique, then create your own masterpiece.

The San Antonio Children’s Museum provides engaging hands-on experiences Where Kids Play to Learn and Adults Learn to Play!  The museum offers three floors of interactive, educational exhibits for children ages 0-10 years and their caregivers.  Visit today to experience the action packed PowerBall Hall, H-E-B Kids’ Market, Tot Spot and our NEWEST exhibit, Science City, where kids can learn and think like scientists!  Museum visitors can also explore the sciences, creative arts and early literacy through our weekly educational programs. The San Antonio Children’s Museum is a nonprofit, 501(c)(3) organization. We depend on admissions, membership dues and contributions to continue our mission of offering quality programming, exhibits and events to the children of San Antonio and surrounding areas.
