"Making a Difference" Fundraiser set to be a life changer

Fort Worth, TX – April 2, 2011 – Solutions of North Texas (SONTX) is busy getting final details in order for its upcoming dinner and silent auction fundraiser. The Third Annual ¨DMaking a Difference¡¬ Fundraiser on April 2nd at the Dallas Fort Worth Marriot Hotel and Golf Club is set to commence at 6:30 PM, with an inspiring keynote speaker, unique auction items, loyal corporate and individual sponsors, and respected SONTX faculty and staff.

Former NFL player Jim Riley, Defensive End, for the Miami Dolphins Super Bowl VI, VII, and 1972 Undefeated World Championship will serve as keynote speaker for the evening. Riley will share his story of how in 1985 he won the most important game of his life – his battle with alcoholism. Since that time, Riley and his wife have dedicated their lives to helping others with addiction problems. Riley is founder of Jim Riley Outreach, Inc. a non-profit ministry helping individuals and families move into a life of recovery from addiction.

SONTX’s goal is to raise $50,000 to support their mission of providing safe and structured transitional housing to men and women battling addiction in North Texas. All profits from the night’s silent auction and dinner will go towards assisting someone in finding a better way of life free from addiction.

Executive Director, Scott Wisenbaker asserts that ¨Dour cause is expanding, and we’re pleased with the growing support—¨DMaking A Difference¡¬ fits into our vision of offering healing and hope for individuals and their families searching for a way to stop the cycle of addiction, which is the foundation of our mission to promote a life free from addiction.¡¬ In the first 42 months of operations, SONTX provided a direct savings of approximately $3.6 million to North Texas taxpayers. Future growth plans include new services of a medical detox unit and job training/skill programs preparing others to re-enter society as a productive member of the community.

SONTX would like to thank their corporate sponsors and private contributors; without this support the fundraiser and organization would not exist.
