The Center for Nonprofit Management is seeking emerging leaders of diverse cultural backgrounds who are interested in board service to participate in the award-winning Dallas Blueprint for Leadership program. Interested individuals are invited to apply by Friday, March 4.
For seventeen years, Dallas Blueprint for Leadership has prepared corporate professionals for the challenging and rewarding role of nonprofit board service and matched them with the nonprofits that need them most. The program consists of training in areas such nonprofit mission, vision and values; legal and fiduciary responsibilities; fundraising; financial oversight; and communication and team building. Interwoven are curriculum and culturally-relevant exercises and course work. Upon completion, graduates are matched with nonprofit boards, giving them the opportunity for immediate impact within the community.
The mission of Dallas Blueprint for Leadership is to positively impact the diversity of nonprofit boards so they adequately reflect the changing and emerging needs of the communities in North Texas. To date, more than 290 culturally diverse board members have graduated from the program and have gone on to serve on boards of local nonprofits.
First consideration will be given to completed and timely applications. Prospective candidates will be scheduled for a mandatory panel interview. Upon acceptance, the program consists of 42 hours of classroom training required for graduation and board matching.
