NEW YEAR’S EVE EVENT

Kids’ Countdown
Friday, December 31
10:00am – 1:00pm (Doors Open 9:30am)
Kids’ Countdown is a fun, family-friendly party to celebrate the New Year. Ring in 2011 at the stroke of NOON with a sparkling juice toast, confetti, music and more! Decorate a festive party hat, create your own noisemaker and make raisins dance in sparkling cider in the FETCH! Science Lab. All children will receive a goody bag with FlutterFetti and a party horn!
Members are FREE/Non-members $9.00.
Reservations are NOT required in advance. Tickets available only at the door.  First come, first served. Space is limited.

Pint-Size Science (Ages 4-6 yrs) 
Every Wednesday

Pint-Sized Science introduces your budding scientists to basic science concepts. Every month we’ll explore a different theme such as weather, animals, reactions, nutrition, and many more.  Free with museum admission.
January Theme:  “Hungry for Science!” This month, we’re experimenting with food of all kinds!


Toddler Time (Early Childhood - 0-36 months)
Every Tuesday & Thursday

Unstructured activity time to build upon your child’s fine and gross motor skills. For ages 0-3 years. FREE with museum admission.

 

Reading Adventures (Pre-K)
Every Wednesday

Reading Adventures is an early childhood program created and taught by experienced early childhood educators. The program strengthens language, listening and motor skills through story time, pretend dramatic play and multisensory activities. FREE with museum admission.      

 

Dots & Squiggles (Pre-K)
Every Friday

Dots and Squiggles is an early childhood program created and taught by experienced early childhood educators. Fun and engaging lessons encourage children to experience a wide variety of activities that incorporate art, sensory exploration, movement, music, story time, and dramatic play. FREE with museum admission.  

 

FETCH! (Pre-K – Elem) 
Every Friday, Saturday and Sunday

Hands-on science experiments for all ages!

Art Studio  (Pre-K – Elem) 
Every Saturday * 11:00am – 1:00pm
Every Third Wednesday * 2:00pm – 4:00pm
The Art Studio is a fun, hands-on activity space where children and parents or caregivers can create art together. Lively and well equipped, the Art Studio provides opportunities for exploring self-expression led by artist-educators. FREE with museum admission.
January Theme: Jackson Pollock Marble Art! Have you ever had the desire to just splatter paint everywhere and see what happens? We will do just that (but inside a box with a marble) during our Art Studio. We’ll take a close look at artist Jackson Pollock and Action Art!

The San Antonio Children’s Museum provides engaging hands-on experiences where Kids Play to Learn and Adults Learn to Play! The museum offers three floors of interactive play exhibits, including the H-E-B Kids’ Market, a Tot Spot dedicated to infants and toddlers 0-36 months, action-packed PowerBall Hall and weekly science, art and early literacy activities for children ages 0 –10.
