Did you know that…
Almost six out of 10 Texas public schoolchildren hail from low-income families, marking a troubling spike in poverty over the last decade?
Impoverished and disadvantaged children are more likely to falter academically and drop out?
The U.S Census Bureau has projected that the average household income in Texas will drop in coming decades, pouring even more disadvantaged students into the schools?
More than half of the people served by NAM are under-privileged children?
(Houston Chronicle. January 2010.)

NAM hopes to feed 800 families this Thanksgiving. In past years, we have had government funding to buy turkeys, but we do not have that funding this year. Please consider making an online gift to our Holiday Food Drive at www.namonline.org, under “Special Projects”.
