Take the family to Fair Park for 10 fun-filled hours of water-dancing, craft-making, gift-buying, tree-lighting, fireworks-flying, good ole’ seasonal glee at MetroPCS Fair Park Holiday from 9 a.m. – 7 p.m. Saturday, December 4, inside the Centennial Building and outdoors surrounding the Esplanade Fountain. Fireworks will soar from the rooftops of the Automobile and Centennial buildings for the ultimate holiday festival finale! And because the White Rock Marathon will also be held that weekend at Fair Park, visitors can double their fun with a stop at the FREE White Rock Health & Fitness Expo, open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday in the Automobile Building, or by participating in the 5K Mayor’s Race and Fun Run beginning at 9 a.m. Saturday. (Registration for 5K race is $15 or $30 for families up to five; free for Dallas ISD students and teachers.)
Free and open to the public, MetroPCS Fair Park Holiday will feature Bellagio-style “dancing water” shows at the Esplanade Fountain synchronized to music at the top of every hour from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. Inside the Centennial Building, get busy in Santa’s Workshop with free arts and crafts aplenty for kids and adults to enjoy such as ornament making, do-it-yourself gift wrapping, cookie decorating and more. The 500 Inc. Holiday Market will feature an assortment of quality merchandise, holiday décor, gifts and tasty treats. Plus, a heap of holiday-themed entertainment and other free activities will be on tap during the day.
Other highlights will include free admission to all Fair Park museums at select times, the official City of Dallas Tree-Lighting Ceremony at 6:15 p.m. plus a spectacular fireworks finale from the rooftops of the Automobile and Centennial buildings! (Note: For specific museum schedules, check fairpark.org after November 1.)
Thousands of sparkling LED lights surrounding the Esplanade Fountain will shine throughout the holiday season.
Admission is free for MetroPCS Fair Park Holiday. The City of Dallas charges $10 to park within the gates of Fair Park, or ride DART’s Green Line to the Fair Park Station. Concessions will be available for sale.
