The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) Brownfields Program

November, 2010

In order have protection from environmental liability when purchasing a property, a Phase I Site Assessment should be completed prior to purchase.  The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) Brownfields Program will provide these Phase I’s free of charge to governmental entities and Non-Profits to assist with your purchase and redevelopment of a property.

The TCEQ is also able to provide more extensive site assessments and limited cleanups free of charge.
