"Twas the Night Before Christmas" - Ballet Conservatory of South Texas
Ballet Conservatory of South Texas

November, 2010

“Twas the Night Before Christmas”

The Ballet Conservatory of South Texas is performing “Twas the Night Before Christmas” on Wednesday, December 8, 2010 at the Alamo Heights High School Auditorium. We are excited to be collaborating with Elf Louise for this production. Tickets for admission will be a toy donation to Elf Louise so that no child in San Antonio will go without on Christmas morning. We will hold a complementary performance during the school day that the students at Howard, Cambridge, and Woodridge schools will be invited to attend, along with the public performance that evening. The ballet is based on the famous poem “Twas the Night Before Christmas” by Clement Clarke Moore. It will include dancing candy canes and gingerbread cookies, a mischievous elf, a boisterous Jack in the box, the beautiful Christmas Fairy, and of course an appearance by Santa Claus, Rudolph, and his reindeer!

WE WOULD LOVE FOR YOU TO PERFORM WITH US!

Listed below are the requirements necessary to participate:

·          Attend all necessary rehearsals (rehearsal schedule attached)

·          Able to miss school on the day of the performance (BCSTX will send a letter to your school requesting the absence be excused.  We have already spoken with AH schools)

·          Parent must volunteer at least 2 hours of their time towards production (help with costumes, sets, backstage, etc.) (will be able to volunteer during same hrs dancer is in class or rehearsal)

·          Performance fee of $40, Due November 1 (Covers costume rental [costumes property of BCSTX] and extra rehearsal time)

**If you would like to sponsor the performance fee for another dancer, so that every interested student may participate, please indicate below. We are a 501 (C)3 non-profit organization so your gift is tax deductible!**
