The Fort Bend Boys Choir of Texas, one of the largest independent boy choirs in the nation, has just launched a new website. The site, www.fbbctx.org, is still the same web address as the old one but has undergone a major facelift. "While always informative, the old website became a patchwork quilt of information. We just kept on adding new pages as needed but they always had a do-it-yourself kind of feel. With the new website design, thanks to KnT Solutions Inc., visitors can easily navigate the site with the handy drop down menus," says William R. Adams, Founder and Artistic Director.
"We are very excited about the new look and feel of the website. Prospective choir parents can easily find information about the audition process while current choir families can download the latest calendars and memos," mentions Tiana Mortimer, Executive Director. "Visitors can watch video clips of some of our choir performances as well as listen to sound clips from each of our nine CD releases. Hiring one of the choirs for a wedding, concert series, and even private and community events is easier too. We also encourage visitors to check out our concert schedule for the latest performance dates."
Tiana Mortimer also states, "This new web site re-design also refocused our attention to our choir history, mission statement and philosophy, things we haven't really visited in a while. I personally feel more energized and excited about the upcoming season because I picture visitors reviewing this information on our new website and truly understanding that our organization is more than just about music and singing. It is about instilling the lifelong lessons of self-confidence, self-esteem, leadership, motivation, etiquette and feelings of self-worth. These lessons will be with them long after voice change; they will help transform young boys into young men."
The Fort Bend Boys Choir of Texas, consisting of almost 200 boys ages 6 through voice change, is currently preparing for the start of their 29th concert season in August. They have traveled all over the world, singing with many other boychoirs, symphony orchestras and in such notable places as the White House and the Sistine Chapel.
