Stars Shine for Collars for a Cause
Nate Berkus, Joy Behar, and Chelsea Handler to Design Collars

Plan to join us for SNAPshots 2010 in December!

The stars shine for Collars for a Cause!

SNAP is thrilled to announce that designer Nate Berkus, television personality Joy Behar, and comedian/author Chelsea Handler have all signed on to produce collars for Collars for a Cause! We are also excited to announce the support of Merial Ltd. and DigitalFunction as sponsors of Collars for a Cause and SNAPshots 2010!

Collars for a Cause is a new feature of the annual SNAPshots Celebration. The goal is to collect 229 creative and unique dog and cat collars. These collars are being designed by celebrities, artists, and fashion designers.  The number 229 represents the number of dogs and cats euthanized daily in the Houston area as a result of animal overpopulation. The SNAPshots Celebration and Collars for a Cause are presented by Brett Chisholm Photography. Full story.

Community-Minded Young Ladies Continue Fundraising for Spay-Neuter

Olivia and Emma, the Lemon Aid girls, with Dougie!

If you read the January issue of SNAPtales, you may remember a story about a clever fundraising project called Lemon Aid. Olivia and Emma Taylor, the two remarkable young ladies behind that effort, sold organic lemonade at a pet adoption event in Houston to raise money for spay-neuter. The funds raised were then used to purchase items on the SNAP wish list. The Lemon Aid girls didn’t stop there though. They have held several more fundraising sales in the months that followed. Full story.
