NEW! OPENING MARCH 2010 * A New & Improved Tot Spot dedicated to guests up to 36 months!
The Tot Spot will feature a Baby Zone, a soft play zone that is perfect for babies just learning to sit up, reach, pull and crawl; a Sensory Zone, which will offer a wide array of experiences for toddlers eager to touch and explore everything; a Gross Motor Zone, safe for toddlers learning to walk, run and maneuver; and a Music Zone where little ones can experiment with sound with drums and chimes and other percussion instruments. The ARTS CART: Monthly programming Supporting the Arts

Toot Your Horn!

Join Nancy Staples, music and humanities instructor at Northwest Vista College, to learn about brass instruments and develop your own special sounds by creating a horn with a plastic hose and funnel.

Dots and Squiggles is an early childhood program created and taught by experienced early childhood educators. Fun and engaging lessons encourage children to experience a wide variety of activities that incorporate art, sensory exploration, movement, music, story time, and dramatic play.

 

Reading Adventures

EVERY WEDNESDAY!  (2/10, 2/17, 2/24)

Recommended Ages 3-5

Reading Adventures is an early childhood program created and taught by experienced early childhood educators. The program strengthens language, listening and motor skills through story time, pretend dramatic play and multisensory activities.

The San Antonio Children’s Museum provides engaging hands-on experiences where Kids Play to Learn and Adults Learn to Play! The museum offers three floors of interactive play exhibits, including the H-E-B Kids’ Market, a bubble ranch, newly opened PowerBall Hall and weekly science and arts activities for children ages 0 –10.  Weekly drop-in programs include: Reading Adventures: Wednesdays 10:30 a.m., FETCH! Science experiments: Fridays 1:30 p.m.-3:30 p.m. & Saturdays NOON-4 p.m., Dots and Squiggles Early Childhood Education: Fridays 10:30 a.m. FREE KIDS’ NIGHT Every THIRD Thursday 4 p.m.-7 p.m.
