Registration now open for NAM's affordable computer and language classes
Press Release

July, 2009

The Rotary Learning Center at Northwest Assistance Ministries (NAM) is currently registering students for its summer language and computer classes. The six-week summer session will run July 6-August 14, and students may register through July 6.

All classes will be held at NAM's Rotary Learning Center (15555 Kuykendahl, 4th floor). Fees for the courses range from $35-40 and include all required materials.

Four computer courses will be offered:

  • Introduction to Computers - Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9-10:30 a.m.
Students will be introduced to computer terminology, keyboarding

that will enhance their understanding of computers and aid them in
future employment environments.
  • Microsoft Excel - Mondays from 8:30-11:30 a.m.
Students will learn the basic functions of this spreadsheet
program, including fundamental accounting, creating charts and managing
a check book.

this industry-standard word processing program.

Students interested in learning conversational English or Spanish are

from students. English classes are Wednesdays and Thursdays from
12:30-2:30 p.m.  Spanish Classes are Wednesdays and Thursdays from 3-5
