Foundations offering early retirement

The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, in Princeton, N.J., is offering buyouts to 40 percent of its employees as the organization deals with a big decline in its assets. 105 of 250 staff were offered early retirement. Their assets have declined from 10B+ to $7B in one year.

The Ford Foundation is offering  33% of its staff ealy retirement packages.

By doing this, the foundations are trying to make sure they have substantial funds to contribute.
