Join Law Enforcement Officers for the 5K Fun Run/Walk benefiting SOTX on June 6
LAREDO – Take this opportunity to run with the law and support Special Olympics Texas at the 5K Fun Run/Walk at Texas A&M International University Campus, located at 5201 University Blvd. on Saturday, June 6 at 8:00 a.m. The event is open to the public and all age groups are encouraged to participate. Stride side by side with officers from the following law enforcement agencies: Texas A&M University Campus Police, Laredo ISD Campus Police, Laredo Police Department, U.S. Border Patrol-Laredo, U.S. Customs and Border Protection-Laredo, Webb County Constable Pct. 1, Laredo Fire Department, Corrections Corporation of America, United ISD Campus Police and ICE/DRO.
Late registration is available for $20 until the day of the race. All race participants will receive a race t-shirt (while supplies last). Trophies will be given to the overall male and female winners; medals will be awarded for first to third place in each age division.

The Law Enforcement Torch Run is an actual running event in which officers and athletes run the "Flame of Hope" to the Opening Ceremonies of local Special Olympics competitions, state Games, National and World Summer or Winter Games. The Law Enforcement Torch Run has been a Special Olympics tradition for more than 25 years; in Texas, the Law Enforcement Torch Run® began in 1985. The Law Enforcement Torch Run honors the spirit of the Special Olympics movement and the courage of its' athletes.
